Mister's version of Sunday school

"Since my mom missed church this morning, I thought i'd better get a little praying/meditation in on her behalf... paws together everyone!"

"and now... everyone lift your head up in gratitude"

"HEY.... I see you --- you'd better do what i say!"

"Oh, whatever.... do what you want!!!"

Need your pup to chill out??

Take your pup to doggie daycare (Mister LOVES going to Downtown Dogs!) ... it works better than drugs! He's falling asleep with his head up. Trust me! He's never this mellow on other days.

His report for the day from doggie daycare, "he was his usual self, playing with all dogs, large and small! And this time, he didn't climb the fence!" I'm so proud of my boy.

It's worth the $$$ in my opinion to have him get his exercise and play, play, play.

Meanwhile, Missy got to lounge at home. She doesn't care so much for doggie daycare and a bunch of dogs sniffing her butt, so.... home she stays with Henry, the kitty. Mister gets a kiss upon his return.

All is well.

Buds opening - is spring really here?

i'd like to think so... however, the forecast says there may be snow on the way! Snow in mid-April!! Only in Minnesota :)

Mister - a rare moment

Mister finds time each day to be still (in between digging holes in the yard!). I caught one of those rare quiet moments on one of our recent windy days in Minnesota.. doggie meditation in action.

Got some butter???

We ran out of butter for our toast this morning. Thank goodness Mister isn't shy about asking our neighbor...

Tag! You're it!

It was a beautiful spring day, and Mister and Missy had the right idea in our backyard! Of course, you can see how impossible it is to have a nice yard when you have dogs who want to play chase --- it's a dog's life, and in my opinion, it's what life is all about!!

it's up to us....

there's a reason for everything; there's beauty in everything -- it's up to us to choose our perspective and how to frame life. Like a photographer, we choose our perspective, our angle, our filter, how much light we let in and what speed we move through life. It's up to us.

siesta time...

dogs have got the right idea --- if Missy had the run of the house i think this is where we'd find her all the time!

If you could see into my soul...

Every year 3-4 million healthly adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized simply because there are not enough homes. This is what i hear when i look into the eyes of homeless animals that come through Pet Haven's foster program -- they are the lucky ones. Millions aren't.
