Spring in Minnesota

Spring arrives in Minnesota with a heavy snowfall and my first robin sighting. If I could eliminate the need to shovel and simply enjoy the majestic, yet serene feeling of a heavy snowfall, I would simply sit, observe, and absorb.

Our little boy has grown up!!

What matters

In the quiet of the mornings, these white words on black welcome me to my writing/meditation room....

In the playfulness of watching our animals plays, I am reminded of how to live well
In the eyes of a Missy, Mister and Henry - I feel love
and in the end, in my goodbyes to Shen, Shadow, Splat and Suzie --

I learn that letting go is much harder for me, than it is for them.

I'll tell you what i REALLY think!

The soul of a dog...

I am blessed each day to share my days with Missy, our 3 year old lab/pit/rottie mix. Her eyes speak to me each morning with a depth often beyond words. Maybe some day... yes, maybe some day i can give justice and voice to what lies deep within her soul.

Caught!!!

While working from home this morning, I caught Henry admiring himself... well, can you blame the boy??!!!
